Earlier, the Benue State Governor, Samuel Ortom, who received the dignitaries at the Benue Peoples House explained that the visit of the Governors with Senators from the region their had rekindled ties which political leaders from the region had with one another.

He particularly noted that in view of the ties that existed between them, late Senator J S Tarka had provided a platform for the late Kashim Ibrahim from Borno State to contest and win election in the former Tiv Native Authority.

Also speaking, Governor Shettima expressed happiness with the fraternity and pledged that political leaders from the area would work to sustain it at all costs.
