There is an indication that non-Yorubas in Lagos may be given more political appointments in the next administration judging by the level of their contributions to the victory of All Progressives Congress (APC), governor-elect Akinwumi Ambode.

The Chairman,  Arewa Community in South-west, Arc. Ahmed Abdullahi made the disclosure while speaking to Daily Independent in Lagos.  “Ambode told us specifically that if he wins the governorship elections, he will carry Arewa community along in the scheme of things,” he said.

The former Katsina State governorship aspirant stated that he mobilised members of Arewa community in the south-west to vote overwhelmingly for Ambode  in Lagos because Arewa community believed in the doctrine of change and the re-engineering of the country as advocated by the party.

“The six buses donated by Arewa community for Ambode’s campaign in Lagos were effectively used to mobilize our people effectively”.

He commended the national leader of APC, Asiwaju Bola Tinubu and the state chairman of the party, Henry Ajomale for their untiring efforts that gave the party victory at all levels of the elections.  Abdullahi promised that Arewa community in south-west will continue to support APC because it believes in the ongoing common sense revolution of the party.
