All Progressives Congress (APC) lawmaker representing Lagelu State Constituency in the state House of Assembly, and member-elect for the seat of Akinyele/Lagelu Federal Constituency in the Representatives, Temitope Olatoye (aka Sugar), has cleared himself of any criminal charge.

He spoke in Ibadan shortly after collecting his certificate of Return from the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC).

Olatoye said he was last week acquitted  of the 13-year-old murder case against him and one other person by an Ogun State High Court sitting in Isabo, Abeokuta.

Olatoye, who was full of praises to God, said the court disposed of the two count-charge of conspiracy to commit murder and murder against him and one Ajasa Balogun.

He said he and Balogun were indeed discharged and acquitted on the two count-charge.

The APC chieftain thanked God “for allowing truth to prevail after 13 years of darkness”, promising to give good representation to the people of his constituency in the National Assembly.

On the victory of Governor Abiola Ajimobi at the March 28 governorship election in the state, Olatoye commended the people for allowing the Governor to break the second term jinx, which his predecessors in the office failed to achieve.
