The Nigerian Institute of Public Relations, (NIPR), Lagos State Chapter has said that the task of fixing Nigeria was the responsibility of the citizens as no foreigner will fix Nigeria for Nigerians.

President of NIPR and Chairman of the Governing Council, Dr Rotimi Oladele, Oladele, said this on Saturday, September 19, 2015, while inducting five out of the 75 persons that participated in its three –day Master Class programme in Lagos at the Institute of Entrepreneurs, Ogba in Lagos.

According to him, it is a duty all Nigerians, especially public relations practitioners should do, arguing that with the new breed practitioners, the ground has been shifted from products and services to brand and reputation management.

His words: “Practitioners must brace up for the new challenges that can bring good results in repositioning our country, even as he congratulated the newly inductees, as well as welcoming them into the profession, reminding the inductees of the challenges of the profession.”

In his address, the PRCN President Mr. John Ehigwese said that in line with the statutory mandate of practitioners, it is also necessary that practitioners’ takes up their responsibility of reputation management and services oriented projects.
