Nigerian Men May Join The ‘No Shirt’ Trend

Wearing a jacket without any inner shirt is a trend that is very common on fashion runways.

It is allowed because designers may choose for the model to go shirtless so that all attention will be on the piece they are showcasing.

Recently, a few fashion savvy men decided to take the shirtless style that is regularly seen on the runway to the red carpet.

This style did not go down well for some international fashion critics as men appeared bare-chested on red carpet of the just concluded  MTV Video Music Award.

MTV award is often regarded as one awards show where the dress code is as loose as the rules around the awards itself.

At this year’s edition, the guys took loose to a whole new level: they just didn’t wear shirts.

Maybe their aim was to showoff skin like the women do. Some of them showed off their tight muscled chests; others showed off their tattoo or gold and diamond chains while a few probably wanted the world to see their six packs.

Ladies, do not judge these men. You are more guilty than they are. They are just trying to keep up with naked trend which many female celebrities keep displaying on different red carpets around the world.

Considering how global the world is today, fashion lovers pick up trends easily and we are wondering if Nigerian men would be daring enough to wear this look to red carpet events here in our country.

There is only one man who can wear this style on red carpet and that person is Nigeria’s most controversial eccentric Video Jockey,  Derenle Edun.

If you are amongst the few that will be bold enough to wear this look on red carpet, have it at the back of your mind that it is not for pot bellied men and neither is it for men with man-boob
