A Non-governmental organisation operating under the aegis of Sunday Bala Oma Foundation is to present an award to President Goodluck Jonathan for transforming most sectors of the economy.
In a statement in Jos, the NGO described Jonathan as a silent achiever who has repositioned key sectors of the economy and for conceding victory even before the final results of the Presidential elections were announced.
The statement reads in part: “Jonathan is one of the best things that have happened to our country.

“President Jonathan needs to be celebrated for transforming the nation.

“Jonathan saved Nigeria from monumental crisis and violence by accepting defeat in the March 28 Presidential election.
“Our President’s actions not only saved the nation from a possible crisis but also added value to the growth of our democracy and that’s why he has to be celebrated”.
Another awardee is the Plateau State Governor, Jonah Jang, for the massive road construction he carried out in the state.
The award, according to the statement, is scheduled to take place at the Bishop’s Court, off Joseph Gomwalk Way, Jos, the Plateau State capital on May 16.
