The Nigeria Football Federation (NFF) has queried Coach Stephen Keshi and Captain Vincent Enyeama over issues surrounding Super Eagles Africa Cup of Nations qualifier against Chad.

Keshi has been asked to explain why non-league striker, Gabriel Okechukwu, made the Super  Eagles substitute bench, while Enyeama has to explain his comments regarding the safety of match venue Kaduna.

Okechukwu, who features for non-league side, Water FC of Abuja, failed to make the final list for the FIFA U-20 World Cup in New Zealand despite that he was named in the 35-man provisional squad.

The striker was handed jersey No.10.

Enyeama, on the other hand, was asked to explain his comments that Kaduna was unsafe for the qualifier.

The NFF issued a statement after Enyeama kicked against Kaduna.

Meanwhile, Enyeama, has made a u-turn on Kaduna, saying that he was looking forward to playing there again, despite his earlier concerns.

“I want to state that the comments were never made to bring down anyone or the good people of Kaduna because they are very hospitable people. I want to say sorry to the people of Kaduna and the governor of the state as well. I was only concerned about everyone’s safety, and never meant to spite anybody,” Enyeama said.

“In my career of more than a decade with the national team, I have played in Kaduna and at the same stadium, and we have always come out with very good results.  I cannot remember when we lost a game there. I will be very happy to return to Kaduna play more international games because the people were very hospitable with us and showed patience even when the goals did not come early against Chad.”
