Joseph Dosu, ex-international, believes that Amaju Pinnick, the Nigeria Football Federation (NFF) President, and Chris Giwa, the factional president would not destroy the game of football in the country.

He said that much as it was unfortunate that crisis has overtaken the Glass House, he believes that both parties would not undo the game.

Dosu said: “Pinnick and Giwa cannot destroy the game in Nigeria, that I can assure you,” he said.

“Something tells me that the duo have the interest of the game at heart even though they are fighting over who should lead; they understand how Nigerians love the game and that can as well settle it all,” he said.

“The greatest mistake they both will make will be to destroy the game, but I know they will not do that. Crisis will always come but how it is settled is what matters.

Dosu assured that there will be end to the current crisis, saying that Nigerian football will be the better for it.

“Believe me, this problem will be over. We are just feeling it because Nigeria did not qualify for the Cup of Nations.

“If we had qualified, I believe the attention would have been diverted from the crisis,” he said.

On the fast-approaching 2018 FIFA World Cup draw, the ex-international advised the crisis-ridden NFF to prepare for any opposition, saying it would be unthinkable that the Super Eagles misses the global fiesta in Russia.

“We should not fear any opponent; the NFF should, as a matter of fact, be prepared for any opponent because we cannot fail to qualify,” he said.
