Nigeria Football Federation (NFF) has directed total clearance of all outstanding indebtedness in form of salaries and allowances owed some  national teams  coaches so as to eliminate any  distractions ahead of crucial forthcoming Olympics and FIFA qualification matches.

A reliably source in the football federation disclosed that the directive to clear the indebtedness, including bonuses owed players from the 2-1 win over visiting Congo, in Port Harcourt, was a direct fall out of recent crisis meeting held between the coaches and members of NFF Technical Committee in Abuja.

“The executive committee has given nod for some of  these coaches whose salaries and allowances are pending be paid immediately. I believe this is a fall out of recent meeting  held by the technical committee and coaches. And some of these coaches have been speaking about their plight. So we don’t want anything to distract the coaches and players from the task at hand” the source stated.

Beneficiaries of the timely gesture, we gathered include the U-23 Men’s football team crew, led by Samson Siasia and coaches of the U-17 Golden Eaglets team  headed by Ex international, Emmanuel Amuneke, who only recently spoke out about over the welfare of the crew.

It is not clear whether the gesture affects the crew of the Super Falcons.

Both the Dream Team IV tutored by Coach Samson Siasia and their compatriot, the Super Falcons are up against determined foes, Congo and  Cameroon respectively, in a matter of days. And the federation has vowed that it will not allow anything to distract the trams  from the all important task of getting to next stage of the competition.
