NFF Celebrates Rashidi, Opone At Fed Cup Finals

The Nigeria Football Federation, NFF, has concluded plans to honour some of the country’s great soccer players both living and dead at today’s Federation Cup finals scheduled for the Teslim balogun Stadium, Lagos.

Top on the list of those to be honoured is former Super Eagles goal poacher, late Rashidi Yekini. The vent has been planned to hold at the end of the first half of the final game between Akwa United and Lobi Stars.

Other late soccer stars to be honoured include: Former Shooting Stars goalkeeper Best Ogedegbe, former Standard of Jos defender Okey Isima, former national team captain Sam Opone, former national team defender Amusa Adisa, former Red Devils goalkeeper Inua Rigogo.

The other stars are Dahiru Sadi, Baba Out Muhammed, Friday Ekpo, and former Rangers International of Enugu striker Ifeanyi Onyedika. FIFA-graded referee Linus MBA, and veteran Sports Journalist Segun Adenuga would
