A native doctor in Ndulo Ukwuagba Ngbo in Ohaukwu local government area of Ebonyi state, Chief Onupka Nwite has been allegedly  murdered by suspected cult members in his shrine.

The cult members ran away from the community, after killing the native doctor.

Son of the deceased, Mr. Nwabueze Onukpa revealed that his late father, Chief Nwite was killed at the weekend in front of his shrine while having a nap.

The native doctor, before his death, prepared charms for cult members in the area against being killed by rival cult group(s) during clashes.

The son of the deceased had reported the matter to the Ohaukwu Police Division and the Development Centre coordinator and appealed to security agents to bring the culprits to book.

When contacted, the state police public relations officer, ASP George Okafor said he was outside the state.

The man also reported the matter to their kindred in Ukwuagba who mobilised youths and went into burning of houses of some persons suspected to be involved in the killing of the native doctor.
