All intending Christians pilgrim for this year’s pilgrimage from Nasarawa State are to be exposed to agricultural skills during their stay in the holy land.

The essence, as disclosed by the Executive Secretary, Nasarawa State Christian Welfare Board, Mr. Clement Odeh, is to use the opportunity of the pilgrimage to tap from Isreal’s vast wealth of skills and experience in farming and creative agricultural prowess.

Odeh who made this known during an interaction with journalist at the end of the screening exercises for the intending pilgrims in Lafia, said this year’s pilgrimage is different, considering the caliber of people sponsored for the trip.

He said: “This year, the intending pilgrims are different because government sponsored only clergies and Religious instructors. We want our pilgrims to also go and acquired agricultural skills because Israelites are very rich in that sector, so that when they come back from the holy Land they can also extend the skills to others.”
