The All Progressive Party (APC) in Nasarawa State has promised fairness to all party members aspiring to contest in the forth-coming rerun election for Nasarawa/Toto Federal Constituency.

The parrty stated this in view of insinuations that certain asporants were favourites and might be imposed on the constituents in the poll.

Mr Philip Tatari-Shokwe, chapter chairman of the party, during an addressin Lafia on Wednesday, said, “APC is a party whose hallmark is justice and as such it will ensure transparency in its affairs, especially during the forthcoming primary election for the House of Representatives vacant seat for the state.”

Tatari-Shokwe, who stressed the need for all aspirants to exhibit maturity during the election, said that politics should not be a do-or-die affair.

“We are promising you, that is what will happen in Nasarawa/Toto House of Representatives rerun election, and the party will continue to uphold true democratic tenets and principles in its nomination process.

“Our party is against consensus candidates and any idea of intimidating the people. There should be no intimidation and coercion. APC will continue to welcome individuals who will add value to our existence,” he said.
