Super Eagles captain, Ahmed Musa’s goal drought extended to 10 matches on Sunday as he fired blank in CSKA Moscow’s 1-1 draw at Anzhi Makhachkala. Musa has not scored for the Russian side since their 2-0 win at Dinamo Moskva on October 4 and has now gone 14 games since he last hit the back of the net for both club and country. He was on the pitch for 90 minutes against Haruna Lukman’s Makhachkala but his compatriot was left on the bench for the entire duration of the game.

Striker Sylvester Igbonu was also in action for 90 minutes but did not score as his side FC Ufa’s drew 2 – 2 with Kuban Krasnodar. He has three goals in 15 matches for the Russian side. In England, Mikel Obi was benched in Chelsea’s goalless draw at Tottenham on Sunday but Victor Moses was in action throughout as West Ham played a 1-1 draw with Victor Anichebe’s West Brom.

Anichebe was left on the bench. Simon Moses was also on to the bench for Gent as his side secured a 1-0 win at Genk on Sunday. Former Flying Eagles defender, Wilfred Ndidi, was in action for the hosts. Godfrey Oboabona played 90 minutes for Rizespor but got a 36th minute yellow card in that goalless draw with Konyaspor.
