A Chieftain of the People’s Demicracctice Party (PDP) in Bauchi State, Bibi Dogo, has described the resignation of the National Chairman of the party, Alhaji Adamu Muazu, as a welcome development just as he Insisted that Muazu should account for the N9b realized from sale of nomination and expression of interest forms during the general election.

Dogo who stated this while speaking with Newsmen in Bauchi yesterday called on the National Working Committee to summon Muazu to account for the N9b realize from sale of nomination forms during the last general elections.

He said  “Muazu should come back and hand over officially because we learnt from the National Publicity Secretary, Oliseh Metuh, that they realized N9b from the sale of forms, so Muazu should be forced to come and account for it because it is public fund.

Digo opined that the resignation of Muazu is a good  omen to PDP saying the party cannot achieve any success with Muazu being at the top of the affairs of the party.

He said; “we welcome the resignation of Muazu because that is what we have been fighting for before the election. I even drew the attention of President Jonathan to the incapability of Muazu leading the party to success but he neglect my advise but truth has finally come out.

“Even the Board  of Trustee Chairman ,Tony Anenih, has  resigned too but it is not enough because all the National Working Committee, state, local government and ward executives  should also resign to enable us restructure the party and achieve our success because I believe if we work hard PDP will bounce back in 2019.

He kicked against imposition of candidate in the party saying “we don’t want imposition of leaders on our members, they should allow the members to choose their leaders by themselves because that was what led to the defeat of PDP in the just concluded election,” he said

Dogo expressed optimism that most of the governor-elect who were PDP members that left the party for APC because of imposition of leaders would definitely come back when PDP is restructured.
