Mimiko Reiterates Commitment To Protect The Environment

Governor Olusegun Mimiko of Ondo State has reiterated his administration’s commitment towards ensuring that Akure, the State capital remains the cleanest, as well as becoming the most functional City in the country.



Governor Mimiko stated this, while speaking with newsmen shortly after leading members of the State executive council and top government functionaries on a road show to mark this year’s world Environment Day with the theme “Seven Billion Dreams, One Plant, Consume with Care”.

The road show began from Government House in Alagbaka en route Oba Adesida road and terminated at the Cathedral junction in Akure where Governor Mimiko and his deputy Alhaji Lasisi Oluboyo led other top government functionaries in ensuring sanitation of major roads and adjoining streets.

The Governor, who expressed satisfaction at the high level of cleanliness of the environment, most especially Akure the State capital commended the commissioner for environment, Chief Sola Ebiseni and his team for their commitment to the sustainability of the cleanliness of Akure and other towns in the State.
