Players and officials of Mountain of Fire Miracles Ministries (MFM) Football Club will head to the classroom today to learn how to manage their temper on and off the football pitch.
The management of the club is organising a day seminar for them at the MFM youth church, Yaba Lagos with the aim teaching them how to control their temper whether the team is losing or having the referee’s decision against them.
The gathering will feature a mix of intellectuals from Centre for Youth Studies, a Christian non-government organisation.
“It is almost impossible for one to succeed in any human endeavour without discipline,” said club chairman Godwin Enakhena.
“This comes with the ability to comport ?one’s self in good and bad times; in this case, we are talking about on and off the pitch behaviour.
“So much is expected from MFM FC because we represent the church in Nigeria and thus must be a shining light to other teams in terms of discipline on and off the pitch.
“We can’t afford to fail the church. Be reminded that this is the second seminar I am organising for the boys this season. The first was shortly before the league started and the seminar was on Character Development,” he concluded.
The Nigeria topflight debutants are third on the log with 10 points from five games, and they host El Kanemi Warriors in their next outing on March 13 at the Agege Stadium.
