It is another crucial game at Anfield and Liverpool goalkeeper Loris Karius recently returned to training after surgery on a broken hand and he is likely to be on the bench for the club’s first game at the newly-expanded Anfield.
Injured pair Emre Can and Ragnar Klavan have been ruled out of the crucial game against the defending champions.
Leicester’s club record signing Islam Slimani could make his debut and Kasper Schmeichel is available after a minor hernia operation.
But, Nampalys Mendy and Jeff Schlupp remain unavailable because of injury.
However, Liverpool manager Jurgen Klopp spoke on their new Main Stand at Anfield: “I’ve got no idea how somebody could do something like this, but when you stand in front of it it’s really amazing.
“This is a good place, with the champions coming. It was really well deserved what they (Leicester) did last season.
“They’re still good, but it’s now another season. It’s our first home game and with 8,000 more in the stadium – that’s more power and we should use this.”
For Leicester City manager Claudio Ranieri: “We are a very strong team. We didn’t win the title because we are lucky. We won because we were better than the others. We must be confident.”
