Leadway Assurance Company Limited said it was partnering Total Nigeria Plc to deepen insurance penetration in the country.

A memorandum of understanding, which was signed by the Managing Director, Leadway Assurance, Mr. Oye Hassan-Odukale, and the Managing Director, Total Nigeria, Mr. Jean-Philippe Torres, will allow Leadway’s insurance products and services to be sold in some designated Total service stations across the country, according to the two firms.

With this agreement, Leadway’s easy-to-use third party motor vehicle insurance recharge cards would be sold at the designated outlets nationwide, it said in a statement.

Asides from the selling of insurance products, these stations would also serve as collation centres for all insurance-related issues such as claims processing, it added.

Commenting on the partnership, Hassan-Odukale said that as an innovation-driven market leader in the country, it was constantly seeking ways to make insurance products and services nearer, easily accessible and more convenient for its customers.

He said it had developed its online infrastructure to provide real-time, online access and interaction for its clients.

Hassan-Odukale said, “The partnership with Total reinforces that quest to further take insurance closer to Nigerians, while affirming our commitment to superior service delivery.”

Also commenting, Torres said Total was proud of the partnership with Leadway Assurance, describing it as a dynamic organisation, sharing its values of integrity, innovation, and superior service delivery.
