The House of Assembly member-elect from Obokun State Constituency of Osun State, Olatunbosun Oyintiloye, has described the attempt to blackmail Governor Rauf Aregbesola’s son, Kabir, with allegation of money laundering as outright wicked politics.

He said the apology tendered by some national dailies for publishing such story on the purported arrest of the Governor’s son has again vindicated him (Governor’s son) as well as exposed those behind the falsehood.

There were speculations last week that Aregbesola’s eldest son, Kabir, was arrested at the Muritala Muhammed International Airport enroute UAE for money laundering. Osun State Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) Chairman, Gani Ola-Oluwa, later issued a statement making the same allegation.

Oyintiloye considered “endorsement and glorification of fallacy by Alhaji Ola Oluwa in his statement as height of maliciousness, cruel and anti- civilisation”.

He noted that if fabrication of falsehood and mudslinging was the style of playing opposition which the PDP had found itself in it would further make the party detestable among the populace.
