Plateau State Governor, Simon Lalong has promised to give Plateau people periodic report of what his government is doing for the State. He also said that the State’s government in conjunction with FG is doing a lot to ensure the security of life and property in the State.

The Governor spoke at the Church of Christ In Nations (COCIN) headquarters in Jos during the special thanksgiving to mark his 100 days in the office.

Lalong who also praised Operation Safe Heaven, the military task force in the State over its efforts in the improvement of the state’s security said he is ready to render account of his stewardship in another 100 days to make it a regular exercise.

“We are not celebrating 100 days in office, we are only  reminding the people of Plateau of the contract which we have with them and with that contract, people will like to know the steps we are taking to fulfill our obligations to them. Many people do not last for 100 days, but God in His infinite mercies has kept all of us and given us the grace to be here today. Soonest we will make Plateau State heaven for people to stay,” Lalong said.

The Governor who told people that his government has paid salary arrears up to five months without receiving bailout funds promised not to allow unpaid salaries any room in the State as soon as the state receive it’s bailout funds.

Lalong reminded plateau citizens that government is a continuum and he is poised to addressing the unfinished projects inherited from the past administration because the projects are projects for Plateau people.

“We are restructuring the civil service for the overall interest of the people. On security, we are doing a lot of things with the Presidency and Operation Safe Heaven, very soon insecurity will be a thin of the past, and we must protect the lives of the people of Plateau State,” he said.

He tasked the people to call him and his team to order whenever they derail and thanked them for their prayers stating that without such prayers, “we wouldn’t be here today.”

Reverend Dachollom Dachiri of COCIN in his sermon urged leaders to hold unto God so that they can serve the people better.

According to the man of God, “There is no crises on the Plateau, what we have in hand are that Plateau is being massacred every day. God will give you the grace, the wisdom and the power to address all the problems of the State, we are behind you in prayers, Plateau project is our project”
