Speaker of Lagos State House of Assembly, Adeyemi Ikuforiji,  has assured residents of the state, that they would never regret electing the All Progressives Congress (APC) governorship candidate, Akinwunmi Ambode, governor of the state.
The Speaker, who also assured that Ambode would take the state to the next level of sustainable socio-economic and human  development, said “as you all know, what has been the staying-power of our great state in the past 16 years had been the superb professionalism of the APC leader, Asiwaju Bola Tinubu.

“Tinubu laid a very solid foundation for our state for eight years, between 1999 and 2007, before handing over power to the actualiser, Babatunde Fashola, who has today successfully built on TInubu’s achievements.

“I can assure all the good people of Lagos State today that the future of our dear state under Akin Ambode, our Governor-elect, will witness greater level of development in all areas, now that it is our great party, that will be forming the incoming federal government of Nigeria,” Ikuforiji said in a statement signed by his Chief Press Secretary, Rotimi Adebayo.
The Speaker said “no longer shall Lagos State be treated with so much needless hatred as done in the last 16 years by the Federal Government led by the PDP.

“No longer shall our state be denied her rights and privileges under Akinwunmi Ambode as witnessed under Asiwaju Tinubu and Fashola while the reign of the PDP lasted in Abuja,” he stated,

Ikuforiji, however, commended the National Leader of the APC, Tinubu, and other chieftains of the party for their uncommon vision that enabled the party to not only record victory in Lagos State, but also for the massive victories recorded nationwide by the party across board in the just concluded general elections.
