The Lagos State Secretariat, Alausa, Ikeja, seat of government came alive on Tuesday as workers resumed duties after the Easter holiday.

The Federal Government had declared Friday, 3 and Monday, April 5 as work-free days to enable workers celebrate the Easter feast.

As early as 8:30 am, most workers had already resumed at their duty posts.

At the Ministry of Transportation, workers were seen treating files and attending to visitors who had come for one business or the other.

The situation was the same at the Ministry of Education as workers were seen responding to visitors and attending to the day’s task.

The Vehicle Inspection Office (VIO) was a beehive of activities as officials attended to a horde of motorists who had come to sort out issues ranging from fines to vehicles documentation.

The security personnel manning the entrance gates had a hectic time at about 10.30am, controlling vehicles coming into the secretariat as visitors as well as staff made their way into the complex.
