There are indications that the Lagos State Election Petitions Tribunal will commence sitting any soon.

This was disclosed by the secretary to the tribunal, Hafsatu Suleiman, on Thursday. According to her, the tribunal has received 17 petitions both from the March 28 senatorial and April 11 House of Assembly elections in the state.
She said the two petitions from the March 28 senatorial election were filed by candidates of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), Segun Adewale, from Lagos West Senatorial District, and Olabisi Salis-Fakos from Lagos East Senatorial District.
The other 15 petitions were filed by candidates who contested for positions into the state House of Assembly on April 11.
The Lagos State Chief Judge, Justice Oluwafunmilayo Atilade, had created the space for the state election petition tribunal in the newly inaugurated Roseline Omotosho Court in Ikeja,

However, the presiding judges are yet to be disclosed, and no date has been announced for the commencement of the tribunal sittings.
