Immediate past Minister of Interior, Abba Moro, has insisted that the killing of members of Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) in Benue North East Senatorial District (Zone A) including that of Second Pepublic parliamentarian, Atoza Ihindan, was politically-motivated and pre-meditated.

Moro advised the All Progressives Congress (APC)-led administration in the state to take responsibility for the killings and ensure it arrests and prosecute perpetrators of the act.

Moro made the allegations while speaking to newsmen in Otukpo, Otukpo Local Government Area (LGA) of the state shortly after gracing the occasion in which the Senator David Mark Scholarship Foundation (DMSF) doled out N50 million to students in the state.

“We must see definable actions being taken. It’s not about sermonising, it’s about taking concrete actions that will elicit some level of confidence in the people; it must be clear to everybody because I’m a PDP member and I find it ridiculous that only PDP members are being killed; it’s not correct and in a particular part of the state and you tell me it’s armed robbery?”

He stressed that government should be seen to condemn the act “rather than trading blames
