Kidnapped UNN Chief Imam Regains Freedom

Chief Imam of University of Nigeria (UNN) Central Mosque, Sheik Adam Idoko who was kidnapped last week at his hometown, Ogrute in Igbo-Eze North LGA Enugu State, has regained his freedom.
Daily Independent gathered that the kidnappers, who were being trailed by the police, abandoned Sheik Idoko in the early hours of yesterday at Amaja Junction by Orokam in the Border between Enugu and Benue States.
He was however said to be in a bad condition of health when the police picked him up from where the kidnappers abandoned him.
Spokesman of Enugu State Police Command, Ebere Amaraizu confirmed our report in a statement on Thursday.
Amaraizu said Idoko has regained his freedom and was receiving medical attention at an undisclosed hospital.
It could be recalled that men of the Anti kidnap Unit of the Enugu State Command have been on the trail of the kidnappers to ensure that the victim regains his freedom unhurt.T
It was gathered that he onslaught against the hoodlums was intensified following the arrest of one of the associates of hoodlums who guided the police with useful information, which assisted in arresting the kidnappers.
