The Presidency, Abuja, has said, contrary to claims in some quarters that President Goodluck Jonathan has abandoned all ongoing Transformation Agenda projects, the he would continue to work until his final day in office, as he would not abandon any project.

The Presidency said this on Sunday through the Special Adviser to the President on Media and Publicity, Reuben Abati, who posted on his Facebook page that Jonathan was still busy working for Nigerians as their President. He also averred that President Jonathan’s statesmanship does not end with his conceding victory, but, rather, it continues even after the handover on May 29.

According to Abati, evidence that Jonathan was still working could be found in ongoing work on the Lagos-Ibadan expressway, the Abuja-Kaduna railway line and the site of the Second Niger Bridge, among others.

Abati, who attached a video of the ongoing work on the Second Niger Bridge, wrote, “A short video from the site of the second Niger Bridge, which is currently under construction according to project schedule.

“Our projects have not been deserted as some reports give.

“From Lagos-Ibadan Road to Abuja-Kaduna railways and Kashimbilla Dam, which are set for commissioning, we are still working for you.

“President Jonathan prays for the incoming administration led by General Buhari to achieve even as we hope that this transformation continues.

“We thank you for letting us serve you.”
