A chieftain of the All Progressives Congress, Sam Sam Jaja, has chided the opposition Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) and critics of the ruling party for their lack of perspective in comments over the lingering NASS leadership squabbles.

The Mohammadu Buhari led administration has been harangued for its slow start and inability to put its house in order in the national assembly, raising public concern about the readiness of APC to deliver on its campaign promises, but Jaja said the hue and cry orchestrated especially by the PDP, is not only inappropriate but a typical case of ‘pot calling the kettle black’.

He pointed out that even  after 16 years together as political party, the PDP is still battling one crisis after another, and attributed it to the high turnover  at top echelons of the party’s NEC and national assembly, starting with acrimonious removal of late Solomon Lar as party chairman barely few months after the 1999 polls.

Jaja, former PDP Deputy National Chairman and prime mover of the New PDP splinter group stressed that the seeming crisis in APC should be expected as part of teething challenge of a new party which, as he said, demonstrated its potentials by decimating the PDP in the 2015 polls on its very first outing.
