Embattled Shooting Stars Sports Club (3SC) of Ibadan head coach, Franklin Howard, has said that he had been doing his best to reposition the club from its present predicament, saying his alleged sack woudbe a betrayal of his efforts.

According to a recent press interview with the ex-international he said, “On my part I know I’m doing my very best to uplift the fortunes of the 3SC as nobody envisaged our position on the table at the moment.”

In emotion laden tone he said, “It’ll be really sad if that genuine effort to turn around the fortunes of the 3SC is terminated with a sack.”

Howard who is still in doubt of the purported sack said, “If the rumour is confirmed to be true, it’ll be painful to me personally, but I’ll brave it to pick the pieces and move ahead with my life and career.”

“I’ve been down and shaken to the marrow since the news filtered in. I just heard my sack at 3SC over the news and social media same as any other person.

“I’ve not collected any letter, I’ve equally tried to reach the General Manager who claimed ignorance of such development. The General Manager advised me to remain calm.”

Sadly, none of the officials or players of the Oluyole Warriors spoken to so far has agreed to give hint or confirmation the alleged sack of Howard as the situation remains hazy.

Over the weekend, reports that the former First Bank coach has been relieved of his job due to strings of poor results in the 10-week old Nigerian Glo Premier League made headlines.
