Chairman of the Nigeria Football Federation (NFF) Disciplinary Committee, Chris Green, has denied insinuations that he is out to sack Super Eagles Head Coach, Stephen Keshi, so as to settle an old score.

Green, while defending himself, said that he does not have any personal grudge to settle with the coach, rather he was just carrying out an assignment given him by the NFF.

“This is not a personal matter; it is a federation matter. So anybody that says I have an axe to grind with Keshi doesn’t really know what he or she is saying,” said Green.

“What axe to grind I ask? What has he done to me? If I have an axe to grind with him we won’t hear it. He has not done anything wrong. So it is unfounded.

“I have a good relationship with him. He is our coach and he remains our coach and I want him to be our coach. I am one of those who endorsed him as our coach so what else are we saying?

Green further claimed that the Enyeama-Security claims have been treated internally but the media has given the issue undue attention.

“Like I told you the Vincent Enyeama issue is an internal matter. It’s the press that is blowing the case out of proportion,” Green disclosed.
