It was dramatic in the Savannah Conference during the week 8 regular season of the ongoing DStv Basketball League, as relegation battlers, Kada Stars of Kaduna, consecutively beat city rivals, Nigerian Immigration, by 38 – 36.  This is even as champions, Kano Pillars, will seek consolidation against Immigration in week 9.

In its next fixture, Kada will attempt to outweigh third-placed Gombe Bulls, who won Bauchi Nets 97 – 50 in week 8. Captain of Kada, Samuel Anthony, said his side is poised for survival.
