Anirah Urges Delta APC Members To Resolve Delta Crisis

BENIN – Dr. Simon Imuekemhe, Chairman, Local Government Service Commission (LGSC); Chief Tom Uloko, Commissioner for Local Government and Chieftaincy Affairs; and  Hon. Wellington Okoh, member representing Edo Central Senatorial district on the board of Edo State Oil and Gas Producing Areas Development Commission (EDSOGPADEC) have commended the process that produced Mr. Godwin Obaseki, the All Progressives Congress (APC) governorship candidate for the September 10, 2016 governorship election in Edo State.

In an interview with Independent soon after the Electoral Committee announced the APC primary result, Dr. Imuekemhe maintained that the transparent process was a manifestation of the desire of the party to continually effect positive change that would transform the lives of the people of the state.

Chief Uloko described the exercise as historic and monumental, saying “it is a good omen for an ideal democracy of this magnitude.”

Hon. Wellington Okoh on his part said that the primary has set a template in Nigerian politics, adding that the processes was hitch-free as delegates voted according to their conscience to determine who would lead them and take the state to the next level in terms of good governance.

He adjudged the APC primary as the best since the advent of democracy in the country.

They congratulated Mr. Obaseki, Comrade Adams Oshiomhole and the state leadership of the party for the victory in the primary.

They urged the people of the state to support the APC candidate to enable him and the party to be victorious in the September 10, 2016 governorship election.

They also advised Obaseki to work with the losers to achieve the desired results.
