Delta State House of Assembly member-elect from Udu State Constituency, Chief Peter Uviejitobor, has said he was not afraid of defending his victory at the court.

He said this while reacting to media report that he has been dragged before the election petitions tribunal by the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) candidate from the same constituency, Moses Odibo, over the results of the poll.

Winner of the DTHA election for Udu Constituency to tribunal; Uviejitobor has countered the publication, stating that he is not afraid of defending his landslide victory at the court.

In a statement by his Personal Assistance on Media, Mr Gabriel Choba, Uviejitobor he was yet to be served the court process.

The statement reads in part: “I want to tell the loser of Udu state House of Assembly election to stop publishing court process on pages of newspaper and do the right thing by serving me

“As the winner of the last Delta State House of Assembly election for Udu Constituency, I have duly received my certificate of return from the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC); and the entire indigenes of Udu and residents welcomed me in a grand style on my return from Asaba with the certificate of return. Moses Odibo should accept defeat as good sports man.”

The statement, therefore, urged all sons, daughters and residents of Udu kingdom to continue jubilating on his (Uviejitobor) election victory as the time for Udu to be highly favoured has come, adding that Udu will begin to experience unexpected transformation which they couldn’t get for the past 16 years.
