The member representing Ethiope West Constituency in the Delta State House of Assembly, Erhiatake Ibori have congratulated Nigerian Muslims on the successful completion of the Ramadan fast.

In her sallah message, Ibori urged Nigerians to embrace peace, love and be tolerant of one another, irrespective of religious beliefs.

She challenged all to imbibe the lessons of Ramadan, especially the values of good neghbourliness, patriotism and respect for the sanctity of human life.

In a message signed by Prince Olatunji Olusiyi, Ibori said: “We are all members of one nation and in spite of our diversity; we are bound by a common humanity.”

She advised Muslims, especially, to see the Eid-el-fitri not as a period for mere festivity but as one of deep spiritual devotion and rededication to the values of humility and respect for the dignity of human life.

According to her, “The month of Ramadan is intended to teach us how to live good and compassionate lives. It is a month of sacrifice, abstinence and above all, love. Ibori urge all Muslims across the state to continue to support the administration of Dr. Ifeanyi Okowa even as she  wished the entire citizens a safe and splendid celebration.
