Prominent Lagos cleric, Primate Ayodele Elijah Babatunde has advised the Ekiti State Governor, Ayodele Fayose to humble himself as impeachment plot against him gathers momentum.

The founder of INRI Evangelical Spiritual Church noted for his accurate prophecies during a telephone chart with our correspondent urged the governor to rely on God and take steps to pacify his political opponents in order to halt the impeachment move.

“I want to advise Governor Fayose to humble himself. Getting people to take over the state assembly complex or use of force to coerce those he perceived as political opponents won’t do him any good. I want him to pray to God and ask for forgiveness; otherwise he will be shown the way out soon or later. I foresee an emergency governorship election in Ekiti State.

“The bible says, it is not for he that runneth, if not for God that showeth mercy. The governor should forget pride and lobby his political opponents, and peace will reign. I hope he will hearken to the voice of God because time is not on his side. Even, if he escapes the current move to remove him, I am foreseeing serious political crisis in the state.”

Ayodele pleaded with politicians to support peaceful poll and jettison plans to overstretch the security operatives during election, saying, “I know what I am saying. Politicians are the ones to beg not even the electoral body because they are the ones organising violence. I beg them to accept results of the Saturday governorship poll like sports man.

“In Lagos, the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) may lose to All Progressives Congress’s strategy, if they are not careful. I have said whichever party that relies on God will win at the end of the day.  In Akwa Ibom and Delta States, tell the PDP not to underrate opposition from the APC, otherwise, they will be shocked by the result of the election” the cleric warned.
