Umuokara Orba Community in Udenu Local Government Area of Enugu State was thrown into confusion on Sunday as a 25-year-old man, Sunday Ngwu, was killed during a scuffle with his half brother,Chukwudi Ngwoke.

The two brothers engaged in the scuffle were said to be of the same father but different mothers.

According to eye-witness, in the course of their scuffle, Chukwudi Ngwoke picked up a piece of iron rod and hit his younger brother, Sunday Ngwu, on the head and he fell down and lost consciousness

It was gathered that Sunday was bleeding profusely after his brother attacked him with the rod and was rushed to a nearby hospital but all efforts to revive him proved abortive.

A doctor on duty at the hospital later confirmed him dead.

Spokesman for Enugu State Police Command, Ebere Amaraizu, confirmed this report.

Amaraizu, a Deputy Superintendent of Police, said that the police have launched a manhunt for the deceased half brother who on hearing that his brother that he attacked with a rod has died, escaped.

In another development, men of the 9thmile Division of the Command at about 4am on Sunday nabbed a notorious cult kingpin identified as one Okey Onee from Uburu in Ohaozara local government area of Ebonyi State.

The suspected cultist was accused of masterminding a cult clash at Ifueke Ameke Ngwo, an Enugu suburb, which left one person dead and many others injured.

Amaraizu also confirmed the arrest of the suspected cultist, saying he is now helping the police in their investigation into the notorious activities of the cultists.

He, however, disclosed that the command has warned youths to stay away from cultism and other vices in order to become meaningful to themselves and to the society.
