Lagos – In line with one of its vision for establishment, The Herbert Onyewumbu Wigwe (HOW) Foundation is set to hold a one-day leadership seminar for Secondary School children and young adults with focus on helping young minds develop their leadership skills and potentials.

HOW Foundation, a non-profit organisation founded by Dr. Herbert Onyewumbu Wigwe, group managing director of Access Bank of Nigeria Plc focuses on eradication of malaria, raising awareness towards prostate cancer and mentorship.

The event, which takes place on Saturday, October 8th 2016 will run from 11am through 3pm and is expected to motivate the participants to discover the leader in them.

Addressing the media recently, the Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of the Foundation, Miss Antonia Ally said: “Leadership is something that is very dear to my boss because he has a soft spot for young people in Nigeria. Our organisation believes that there is a leader in every Nigerian. It is just tapping into that leadership skill.

“There are different kinds of leadership skills. We have leaders who are a beat more relaxed. We have people that are strict. So, what we are trying to do is that we are trying to get young people to understand their type of leadership and to develop their skills from a young age.”

Speaking on the theme of the event, ‘Be The Best’, she said that Dr. Herbert has a belief that “What you want to do, do it well”, and that everybody must not be a lawyer, doctor or engineer which was something a lot of people (adults) had to deal with while growing up.

Ally added that the keynote speaker for the event is Joshua Ajitena, a British Nigerian and one of the most sought-after motivational speakers in England.
