How Delta Police Nabbed Three Robbery Suspects

Asaba – The Delta State Police Command has disclosed how its men arrested three armed robbery suspects along the Kwale-Isoko axis.

The suspects, Kelly Iwebama, 22, and Afor Prince, 20, of Unchime-Ojume and Emu-Uno communities in Ndokwa West and Benjamin Ohwovoreole, 38, of No.16 Oteri Road, Ughelli were nabbed when a Federal Highway Patrol team on duty along the Kwale/Ogwash-Uku expressway intercepted and arrested them riding a motorcycle.

When their luggage was searched, two fabricated guns, one of them loaded with live cartridge, were discovered.

Similarly, Ohwovoreole was arrested by a Dragon patrol team on duty along Kwale/Ozoro road when they intercepted a commuter bus belonging to Eru Motors, driven by one Kingsley Nwabeke.

Upon searching the vehicle,150 live cartridges concealed in a sack belonging to Ohwovoreole, one of the passengers were recovered.

Celestina Kalu, Police Public Relations Officer, Delta State Police Command, confirmed the arrests, adding that the suspects have been taken into custody, the motor cycle impounded and they have confessed to be members of of criminal gangs.
