The Women Arise for Justice group, on Wednesday called on President Muhammadu Buhari to question the Governor Nyesom Wike of Rivers ?State over the killings in the heat of the recent re-run legislative elections in the state.

Jummai Samuel Pukat?,? National President of the group, who led a peaceful protest to the Presidential Villa, Abuja, said WIke should be held responsible for all the atrocities that took place since his body language and utterances directly constituted instructions to his political killers to deal with those not on the same side as him.

The group of over 1,000 women also wants the Federal Government to probe the abduction and the eventual  killing of an Colonel Samaila Inusa in Kaduna on Tuesday.

Pukat said all the deaths, abduction?s?, intimidation and destruction of property were products of the do-or-die politics that featured during the Rivers ?S?tate re-run election.

“It was Governor Wike who threatened that there are areas that people from the federal level cannot access in the state.

“It was h?e? who said anyone coming from outside Rivers ?S?tate for the re-run must first write their will, which implies that he was confident of how to make sure federal agents did not make it out of Rivers ?State alive.

“Our sons, brothers, husbands and fathers cannot be continually cut down in their prime with the federal government remaining indifferent simply because their murder took place in Wike‘s Rivers ?State,” she said.
