Arsenal has not won the Premier League since going unbeaten in 2004. Ands  in the season, the Gunners prosecuted the campaign unbeaten 11 years ago.

And one of the players that was part of the team that achieved the result in 2004, Thiery Henry, believes that the club would have won the league in the last five years if not for injuries.

The Gunners, which entertains Swansea on Monday (today), haven’t won the title since the club went the entire campaign unbeaten 11 years ago.

Olivier Giroud, Mesut Ozil, Aaron Ramsey, Theo Walcott, captain Mikel Arteta and Jack Wilshere are among a number of key players who have missed large chunks of this season.

And Henry believes Arsenal must get to the bottom of its injury problems if it is to challenge champions Chelsea for honours next season.

“Arsenal must sort out this injury situation,” said Henry, who missed only one of Arsenal’s 49-game unbeaten run.

“I honestly don’t know why they get so many. Arsenal would have won the title within the last four or five years but for all these injuries.”

Arsene Wenger’s side is 13 points adrift of Chelsea, with three games left, but could finish in second place, its highest position in a decade.

Henry, writing in his Sun Newspaper column, added: ‘It is not a coincidence that every time they get the players back, they go on a fine run.”

Henry also insisted that Wenger remains the right man in charge of Arsenal.

“I am not sure a change of manager guarantees anything,” Arsenal’s all-time record scorer said.

“Look at Manchester United after Sir Alex Ferguson left the club. They have been nowhere near the top.”
