Chairman of the Ethiope West Local Government area of Delta State, Mr. Solomon Golley, has commended the chairman and staff of the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) for ensuring that the just concluded governorship state Assembly election processes were peaceful and transparent unlike the Presidential polls which had issues like card reader failure, among others.

“The issues of the card reader malfunctioning had been improved upon, and the turn-up of their staff has been encouraging too compared to what we experienced in the past two weeks,” he said.

Golley also expressed joy over the large turnout of voters in Oghara in particular and Ethiope West at large.

He believes that it was a sign of new things to come.

Other voters like the former PDP chairman of the local council, Otumba Princewill, also expressed appreciation over the large turnout of voters in Ethiope West and the improved performances of the card reader.

He urged voters to remain peaceful in subsequent elections.

The massive vote for the PDP in Ethiope West also showed that it was the home of PDP in Delta State.
