Skales, real name Raoul John Njeng-Njeng, is currently a happy man.

To show his happiness he took his fans out to the cinema to celebrate his birthday. Asides this, he also gave out shoes on social media.

Speaking in a chat with Klieglight, the Baseline Records artist said “Everything I have right now was given to me by God, my Mother and my fans. I try my best to make sure my Mom is comfortable wherever she is and now is the time to appreciate my fans for their love and support, what better way to say thank you those who have been there for me.”

The pop star celebrated his birthday on Friday, April 1, with the release of his first official single from the yet to be released sophomore album “I want you.” The song is produced by Ghanaian DJ BREEZY, while Unlimited L.A. shot the video in Ibadan, Oyo State, Nigeria.

Since the release on April 1, “I want you” has been receiving positive reviews from Music Industry experts as well as fans alike.

Skales is working hard on his sophomore album after the success of his debut album “Man Of The Year” released last year.

Skales started writing rap songs in Kaduna. Between 2007 and 2008, he travelled to Jos to work with Jesse Jagz and Jeremiah Gyang. His debut single, “Must Shine,” received numerous spin on the Rhythm FM stations in Lagos, Jos and Abuja. He later relocated to Lagos and signed a record deal with Empire Mates Entertainment in 2009. Subsequently, he left the label for Baseline Records.
