My Future At Chelsea Is Undecided –Cech

Chelsea goalkeeper Petr Cech has revealed that he will make a decision on his future once he has played for his country next week.

The 33-year-old will hold off making a call until after the Czech Republic play their Euro 2016 qualifier against Iceland next Friday. A win in Reykjavik would put his team in full command of Group A with just four games to go, hence why it is getting his full attention.

“I will fly back now and join the national team. Then when the season is over I will weigh up my options and decide,” he said.

The report suggests that whatever he decides, he will leave Stamford Bridge this summer despite having another year left on his contract. The emergence of Thibaut Courtois has seen Cech restricted to just seven appearances in the Premier League.

Nevertheless, he has proved that he still has the quality to play at the top level. He kept five consecutive clean sheets in the top flight this year, and only conceded two goals in total.

The Sun report that Arsenal and Paris Saint-Germain are likely to battle it out for his signature, with Chelsea wanting £10m for the veteran. However, Jose Mourinho’s willingness to see him move to a divisional rival – especially one that came close to catching them last season – cannot be ruled out as a factor in any decision.
