The team, which was supposed to depart for Frankfurt on Sunday, will now leave on Monday and arrive Belgium on Tuesday in a bid to commence training for the twol friendlies on October 8 and 11 respectively..

The technical crew and home based players will travel via Lufthansa Airline while the foreign based players are expected to travel direct to Belgium after featuring for their respective clubs at the weekend.

NFF officials are unhappy that the Embassy of Belgium did not request for the additional documents earlier than Wednesday, September 30, as the international passports had been submitted nine days earlier.

However, the federation is willing to meet everything required from the embassy in order to ensure that the team moves at the appropriate time for the encounter.

The international friendlies against Cameroon and DR Congo is meant to prepare the Super Eagles for the November 9 World Cup qualifier between the Nigerian side and the winner of Djibouti and Swaziland match.

Meanwhile, the Nigeria Football Federation has concluded plans to pay each player of the Super Eagles a sum of N1.5 million ($6,000) for the two matches, with the coach, Sunday Oliseh, pocketing a double of that sum.

Nigeria, which moved 52nd in the monthly FIFA rankings, is hoping to improve on its rankings with the friendlies and also plans to use the games to prepare for the 2018 World Cup qualifiers in November.
