Swiss Stanislas Wawrinka, who beat Jo-Wilfried Tsonga 6-3 6-7(1) 7-6(3) 6-4 in the first semi-final of the French Open on Friday, will know his final opponent today.

Novak Djokovic and Andy Murray

This is because the second semi-final between Novak Djokovic and Andy Murray was called off late on Friday due to bad weather.

Djokovic was leading 2-1 with both players tied at 3-3 in the fourth set when the game was called off.
Djokovic took a 6-3, 6-3 lead before Murray peg him in the third set winning 7-5. This was the first set loss by Djokovic in this tournament.

However, Serena Williams skipped practice on Friday as she battles with illness, organisers said.

She looked completely out of sorts during her three-set semi-final win over Swiss Timea Bacsinszky.

Williams, who is chasing a 20th singles grand slam title, is favourite to win but knows her fitness could be an issue.

“I saw the tournament doctor on site and since I came home I have been resting, I just could not practise today (yesterday),” added the 33-year-old, who coughed and spluttered throughout the semi-final.
“I think I have some kind of flu which makes it tough because it’s just a matter of resting and keeping hydrated — there’s not much else I can do.

“I felt really cold so I am just fighting that, trying to sweat it out. A doctor is coming to see me… and we’ll see if he can help… but I don’t think there’s anything.

“It’s just time. I need time and obviously don’t have a lot of it.”
