Nigeria’s Super Falcons forced Sweden to a 3-3  draw in its opening 2015  FIFA Women’s World Cup game in Winnipeg, Canada, on Monday.

The Scandinavians raced to a two-goal lead inside the first 30 minutes through an own goal from Desire Oparanozie in the 21st minute and Nilla Fischer’s 31st minute strike.

However, Falcons fought back in the second half, leveling up the score with goals from Ngozo Okobi and Asisat Oshoala.

In the 50th minute, Okobi latched onto a pass from Oshoala to score Nigeria’s first goal.

The euphoria had hardly died down when the current BBC World Player of the Year, Oshoala, levelled up for the Falcons after turning in two Swedish defenders inside their vital area.

However, Sweden took the lead once again through substitute, Linda Sembrant, in 60th minute before Francesca Ordega even the scoreline at 3-3 for Nigeria in the 87the minute.
