LAGOS – Nadia Wagenaar began her 2016 golf competition in a grand style as she won the top prize at the just concluded Ikoyi Ladies Inaugural Tournament, which held at the Ikoyi Club 1938, Lagos.

Wagenaar playing off a handicap of 15 with a gross score of 87 grabbed the top spot on count back with a net score of 72.

Also, Georgia Oboh, 15, US Teens Open World Champion, won the gross score category playing off a handicap of 3 and returning a score of 78.

Other winners are Pauline Onafowokan, who won the best gross score for ladies without a handicap even as the competitors in this category played only nine holes; while Rita Okafor showed precision to clinch the prize for nearest to the pin on hole 15.

Bolaji Martins playing off handicap 20 , returned a gross score of 93 and net of 73 to win the Guest prize for men.

The highlight of the occasion was raffle prizes that had a faculty of sponsors as Saponeria, Deano Golf Wharehouse, Fairway Golf and Matthew Jacobs Proshop.

However, the Lady Captain, Oluwatosin David, in her closing remark commended the participants for making the event a success adding her tenure will witness good tidings for the delight of members.
