As part of the commemoration of the six years anniversary of the death of the late legal luminary and human rights activist, Chief Gani Fawehinmi (SAN), the Civil Societies Coalition for the Emancipation of Osun State (CSCEO) has concluded arrangement to storm the Lagos office of the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC) on Friday, September 4, 2015 for submission of a petition against Osun State governor, Mr Rauf Adesoji Aregbesola, over an alleged misappropriation of the state meager resources.

Besides, the group planned to observe a special Jumat service and prayer for the repose of the late legal luminary and incorruptible human rights activist at the Ansarudeen Mosque, Berger area, Lagos State where prayer would be also offered to the members of the Fawehinmi’s families.

According to a statement signed by the group’s Chairman, Adeniyi, Alimi Sulaiman and made available to journalists, members of the group from Osun State would move to Lagos to give the anti-graft body the details of how Aregbesola and his cohorts stole the commonwealth of the state and as well run the state into bankruptcy.

Sulaiman therefore described the late Fawehinmi as an icon of all times who lived an exemplary life while on earth, noting that the late lawyer would forever be remembered by the people of the country, especially, the downtrodden masses.
