The Nigeria and Portland Timbers forward, Fanendo Adi, has been getting interests from England and won’t mind taking the big step when the time comes It has been a fantastic start to the Major League Soccer season for Adi, who has notched seven goals in nine matches and was rewarded with the MLS Player of the Month award for April. Success brings its attention and the Nigerian has caught the eye of clubs in Europe with Crystal Palace the latest side rumoured to be interested in him. However, the striker has revealed that he has not heard from the Premier League side but won’t mind moving to England when the time is right. “I can’t control these rumours but as a player, it is always good to have interest from other clubs,” Adi said. “I can’t rule out moving back to Europe, until then I’m happy to be here with Portland Timbers. “I’d love to play in the Premier League when the chance comes. Of course my club will have a big decision to make but the Premiership is a great league to be involved in.” The 25-year-old has been an integral part of the Timbers team for the past three seasons; he scored 18 goals last year as the American team won the MLS Cup. His blistering start to the 2016 season has laid the confidence to pursue success in the Concacaf Champions League. “We won due to hard work; I think not many people saw us winning the MLS Cup but when you’re working hard, good things tend to happen,” he said.
