The Lagos and Osun state governors, Babatunde Fashola and Rauf Aregbesola in view of the incoming government, have lamented the death of Prophet Bunmi Fakeye of the Cherubium and Seraphim Movement, saying he died at a time when his prayers will be needed most in the country.

The governors through the special adviser to the Lagos state government on religious matter, Rev. Samuel Ogedengbe made this known at the wake service organised for the late preacher and spiritual father at his Imesi, Osun home town.

They described Baba Fakeye, as an uncompromising preacher who longed to see the educational system and other sectors work well. As he also never spared telling politicians the truth at all time.

“Baba Fakeye, the engineer who chose to be a preacher stood on fact wherever and whenever he preached. “He died and joined the lord when his prayers will be most needed. His uncompromising preaching made him tell politicians the truth at all time.

“He was a leader par excellence who wanted a change in the educational system and other sectors. He humbled himself and made a mark in the Christian community.
